LAMA Special Trip to Falmouth

Registered passengers and LAMA members are invited to join Nick and Jo on our special trip to Falmouth in August.

Falmouth is a lovely town with lots of unique shops, cafés and restaurants. It also has much history to explore and wonderful views across the River Fal. Indeed, there is plenty of time to take a boat trip across to St Mawes which will give you a great view of the harbour and the surrounding area.

Our first stop will be the Prince of Wales Pier where you can either catch the ferry or begin your walk up through town. If you prefer, you can get off on our second stop at the other end of the main shopping street, near Trago and the Maritime Museum, which is within striking distance of Pendennis Castle (but nowadays you don’t have to storm the ramparts to get in). For anyone who wishes, we can do an extra stop at the castle and you then only have the one way walk back into town.

We will leave Lerryn and Lostwithiel as usual at 9:30 and 9:45 am and arrive in Falmouth at around 11:00 am. We will pick-up from the Prince of Wales Pier at 3:30 pm and then from the other end of town, near the public toilets that are between Trago and Tesco Express, which has the Maritime Museum just behind it.

Booking arrangements: Please call Nick or Jo on 01208 811175

Anyone living in the Lerryn Area (which encompasses Lerryn, St Veep, St Winnow, Boconnoc, Lostwithiel and the districts that surround them), may register as a passenger or member.
